We Love to Celebrate Readers
These family-friendly events are a fun way to further inspire a love of reading in children while connecting with our Verde Valley communities. Three times a year we host parties and invite all area families with young readers to join the fun. The Cottonwood Public Library, Sedona Public Library, and Camp Verde Community Library are all on hand to register children for their very first library cards to ensure they keep on reading even after graduating from our program on their 5th birthday. They receive a free “I Got Carded at my Local Library!” tee-shirt to let everyone know! Children and parents (grandparents too!) enjoy popcorn, shave ice, a balloon artist, face-painting, free books, a book bag and toys.
